I started doing hackathons in 2013 and as of writing this I've completed 14 hackathons in total.
Here are some of the projects I worked on!
“Coupinions is an android app where users vote on a few daily polls to earn easy-to-use coupons. Simple polls, instant mobile coupons on your phone. Perfect for a college student on the go. ”
“Whiteboard Learning is a platform for classroom communities that utilizes both mobile devices and All in One PCs.”
“SMS 911 is an android application made with public safety in mind. Send your contact information, location, and emergency situation to 911 operators in just three taps. Ideal for situations where time is limited or the user is unable to speak due to emergency circumstances. ”
“Project Eli is a webcam hack incorporated into a target practice game. Using real tennis balls, a projector, a screen, and a webcam, Project Eli is a game that projects moving targets onto the screen, making them appear life-sized. The player throws the balls at the targets on the screen and the webcam detects a "hit" or a "miss".”
“Envolve is a discussion platform for campus members to engage in honest conversations toward collectively building a sustainable university experience for all.”
“FitTV is a fitness application created for the Android TV that uses the motion and gesture capabilities of the Myo armband to keep count of your reps and ensure that you're performing the correct motions."
“Parsly allows users to retrieve important email data with only 1 bar of 2G data. Our PHP server in the background constantly polls for any text messages from your phone number and if it detects a valid command such as 'amazon' or 'itinerary' it will parse through your emails and send you the details that you want see.”
“Echo Chef guides you through recipes interactively, think of it as your personal assistant in the kitchen. Just add your favorite recipes to our web interface and they'll be available on your Amazon Echo! Ask for step by step instructions, preheat temperatures, and more!”
“Artemis is an Amazon Alexa experience that changes the way you engage in fitness and meal tracking. Just tell Artemis that you ate something, and she'll automatically record it for you, retrieve all pertinent nutrition information, and see how it stacks up with your daily goals.”
